I would take the front cover off. There aren't any dowels in that cover. I didn't have to use a speedy sleeve to stop the leak from grooves cut by the old seal on the crank. Quote Reply Topic: Power director clutch oil Posted: 10 Aug 2022 at 5:51pm I pulled the two plugs out under the clutch pedal on my d17 series 1 1959 and it looks to be about 5 or 6 gallons.The book says to use hydraulic fluid in the front hydraulic compartment with the dipstick, and it says to use 80-90 gear oil in the rear 2 transmission and rear end compartment.
