I had changed the oil many times on my 96 CI Fatboy but this was the first time on the new 103 CI touring. I removed both of these plugs to change the engine and the tranny. This was according to Motorcycle.com the right thing to do.My question is about how much oil should the crankcase hold. My service manual says add 3-1/2 quarts and then add as needed to bring to full mark on dipstick. I put in the 3-1/2 quarts as instructed and then started and rode the bike to bring it to operating temperature. I let it idle for 1-1/2 minutes on the side stand and then cut it off and ...

Refering to the '06 touring models,the service manual says 32 ozs.The owners maual says to fill to bottom of clutch spring.I had to add about another 5 ozs to get the level to the clutch spring.No abnormal clutch action with this amount.
