Started having a strange clicking noise from the right dash area (behind glove box) each time I shut off the ignition. Sounds like a relay of some sort, but it is quite loud.Aug 19, 2017 · Knocking in dashboard on passenger side. I have a 2012 Chevy impala. When I open any of the four doors or unlock the doors with the remote there is a knocking noise in the dashboard on the passenger side. Even with no key in the ignition AC turn off fans are turned off it continues to knock. I can walk away from the car and it is still knocking.

I have a 2009 Impala LT, 3.5L MFI FF, and I have a terrible knocking coming from my rear end. It sounds suspension related, but I have replaced my rear strut assemblies, sway bar links, and sway bar bushings in order to try and fix the noise, but nothing worked.Most automotive fuels contain some detergent to prevent carbon from accumulating on the cylinder walls and spark plug electrodes. Clunk, pop, click are all different noises, helps to know the sounds. I have an 06 ltz with a 3.9 and on occasion when I’m at a stop light or stop sign I can hear something knocking coming from the back.
