HELP I'm going nuts and broke. I have a 2012 wrangler 4 door with the 6 speed manual. The traction control light was coming on and would go into limp mode more more than 3000 RPM I would shut it off and restart and it would be good for a bit longer. Now its on all the time. The first shop changed them for $650 which didn't fix the problem. The lights came back on on the trip home from the shop.
Hi Guys, I just wanted to share something I have found that works on my JK Wrangler, A few weeks ago the Engine Management Light came on and the car went under powered and staggered when on the throddle. After 2 weeks of stuffing around in the shed I have found how to reset the limp mode. Under the hood, 1. Disconect NEG battery terminal. 2.Limp mode. Jump to Latest Follow ... The silver stuff must be throwing off the magnetic sensor. A wipe down while turning the crankshaft, a battery reset, and all is right with the world.
