Basically, the KS47 uppers are wider to allow for AK mags to fit. In order to make a standard upper work, you would need to add material to it. This can be done be welding aluminum to a standard upper, and then machining it for KS47 specs. It is definitely doable, but it would take the right tools, right knowledge, and the time and desire to do it.The KS47 mag catch is so weak it requires almost no force to move it. My questions - for anyone else that has a KS47 --How much spring tension does the mag catch on your KS47 have - and if you have a regular AK - is it about the same or much less.
