MEC Old style Grabber, parts interchangeability question. I have a good deal for an old-style MEC Grabber (don't know if its the 761 or 762). My only concern is that availability of replacement parts, especially the sizing collets. It looks like MEC doesn't stock old-style collets for 12Ga.So Well worn MEC jr 600 for ~$70-ish or almost NIB sizemaster for around $175-ish? *prices are including shipping and assuming they ... Does it have the up graded crimp starter and wad guide or is it the older brass crimp starter and old style wad guide which will need to be replaced as most are old and crumbling. When loading new I fired hulls on my 600 set up for 3” hulls, the old style works far better at sitting the initial crimp.

The entire circumference seems to be affected by the resizing process. I am currently using up the last of my old CF AA hulls, but the newer HS hulls have the same issues.…

If there is, it would have to decap better and precrimp and crimp a whole lot better than a MEC 600, and not bridge shot and powder. A .410 might be a case where a single stage is the best way to load shells. I will say, that reloading .410's is one of the few examples of actually saving a large percentage of the new cost of shells.Moved on to progressive machines such as the Grabber, 9000G and currently do all of my loading on a 9000H. While the Sizemaster is the more desirable machine, the 600 Jr. will do the job quite well, and for 50 Bucks, I wouldn't hesitate to jump on it.
