No spark pulls code 636 -crank position sensor or CPS abbreviated. Issue: Shorted out or broken wire on the back main harness the CPS (crank position sensor) plugs into. Located under the airbox tube and intake manifold tube, this is a branch off the main wiring harness that the CPS plugs into. Solution: Solder and re-insulate the broken wire.Primary is the resistance between the electrical connector to ground (which is a mounting tab on the coil) secondary is between the electrical connector and spark plug cap. If you get no reading on the secondary side, unscrew the spark plug cap and read it again. So last weekend I was running power wires from the battery up to the posts under the hood so I'd be able to use all three terminals. As I was tightening the positive to the solenoid down by the battery, the lug twisted off. Ordered a new starter solenoid that showed up today.Make sure you have a good ground at the coil.
